Hotel Alameda, Highline has a fantastic location near Hudson Yards and the High Line, which I really appreciated. While I enjoyed the chic design and cleanliness of the rooms, I did encounter some issues with the service and amenities. The breakfast was limited, and the overall experience felt a bit pricey for what I received. Overall, it's a stylish spot worth considering if you're okay with a few quirks.

Rooms
6.0
I found the rooms to be clean and stylish, but somewhat impractical with their design. My initial room had a confusing layout and minimal view, but the staff did upgrade me to a larger room. Although comfortable, the bed was in an unusual box frame that took some getting used to.
Service
7.0
Staff were generally friendly and helpful. They accommodated my early check-in, which was a relief, especially with my son in tow. However, the response times to my inquiries could have been better, and I didn’t always feel supported during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was a highlight for me, with easy access to The Shed and the scenic High Line just steps away. It’s nestled in a vibrant neighborhood that makes exploring convenient and enjoyable.
Dining
5.0
I opted for breakfast included with my stay, but it fell short of expectations. The offerings were limited, and most items came at an additional cost. I’d suggest finding a local spot for a better breakfast experience.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel’s modern design was appealing, and while I loved the unique aesthetics, the facilities were somewhat lacking. The roof bar had great views, but it felt limited due to its size and the pool's closure during my visit.

5.4/10

My stay at the Hotel Alameda was a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was superb near the Chelsea area and the Highline, which made exploring the city a breeze. However, I found the room to be quite small and lacking basic amenities, like a closet or proper seating. The noise from the rooftop party and the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. Overall, while the atmosphere and service were pleasant, the room conditions really detracted from the experience. 🌆😕

Rooms
5.0
The room was tiny and lacked a closet, proper seating, and basic functionality. The mattress on a low platform was uncomfortable, and there were cleanliness issues that couldn't be overlooked.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and helpful at times, but I did feel let down by how the issues in my room were handled. It seemed that they were more focused on events than on guest comfort.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, being close to cultural spots and vibrant nightlife, which allowed for a great lunchtime or evening stroll.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast options were limited, but I enjoyed the unique items on the menu. The ambiance during breakfast had a nice feel to it despite these constraints.
Facilities

The hotel is under construction, which might be affecting the overall experience. I noticed a lack of basic amenities and accessibility features, which made my stay less comfortable.

I had a decent stay at Hotel Alameda, Highline, with a great location right by the Highline and really friendly staff. The minimalist design was cool, but it did lack some functionality. The breakfast was excellent, but the room had some quirks that made it a tad uncomfortable.

Rooms
7.0
The room had a modern Japan-inspired design which was nice but super minimalistic. The mattress was pretty soft and sat low to the ground, which made getting in and out a bit tricky. The lack of hooks for towels or clothes was a bit frustrating, and I wished for better lighting.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and really went above and beyond to help me out. However, there were a few times when it took a while to get their attention for ordering breakfast, which was a bit annoying.
Location
9.0
The location is killer! Being right next to the Highline made it so easy to explore the area. Plus, there are tons of cool galleries and nightlife spots nearby, making it the perfect place for a city getaway.
Dining
8.0
I loved that breakfast had unique and tasty options, though I would've preferred a buffet style instead of a la carte. The quality of the food was excellent, so I can't complain too much about that.
Facilities
7.0
The WiFi was super fast most of the time, but I did have a few hiccups with it dropping randomly. I appreciated the artistic touches throughout the hotel, even though sometimes it felt like functionality was sacrificed for design.

5.8/10

I had high hopes for my stay, especially given its location near Chelsea and the Highline. but the experience was quite disappointing. The hotel's design was modern and chic, which I appreciated. yet the cleanliness and service issues I faced were hard to overlook. While the friendly staff provided some comfort, overall, I didn't feel the stay matched the boutique hotel experience I expected.

Rooms
5.0
The room was not clean upon check-in, and I encountered a broken shower. after switching rooms multiple times, I still found issues like leaking fixtures and dim lighting. It's frustrating when a hotel promises a unique design but the state of the room doesn't meet basic cleanliness standards.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly, it took quite a while to get their attention. I had to ask multiple times to order breakfast and it wasn't streamlined at all. It felt like management wasn't focused on providing the service I'd expect at a hotel of this caliber.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location is fantastic. being close to vibrant nightlife and attractions makes it very convenient. I enjoyed exploring the area, but that's about where the positives ended for me.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast, while included, was limited to a croissant with fruit and at times difficult to order. pricing for additional items felt high compared to what was offered. I expected more variety and value.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were lacking. the elevator and hallways were outdated, and there didn't seem to be adequate amenities for comfort or convenience. I noticed issues like unresponsive light fixtures, which just added to the negative experience.

5.0/10

I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere at Hotel Alameda, but the experience wasn’t without its downsides. The location was fantastic, right near the High Line and some cool spots. However, the noise from the rooftop bar and my room’s quirky design left a lot to be desired. Overall, it’s a mixed bag for the price paid.

Rooms
6.0
The room boasted a unique design aesthetic, but it felt a bit impractical. I was excited about the chic vibe, but the lighting was confusing to navigate and the shower’s glass structure was a bit too revealing for my liking. The bed, though, was quite comfortable, and I appreciated the overall cleanliness.
Service
6.0
Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to assist, which was a definite highlight. They even helped with room changes when I had issues, although there were some lapses in communication that left me frustrated.
Location
8.0
I can’t say enough good things about the location! It’s close to the High Line and pretty much everything in Chelsea, making it easy to explore the area. I loved walking around to nearby pizza joints and checking out local attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a bit of a letdown, honestly. The menu was limited and while I enjoyed a couple of dishes, it felt overpriced for what you got. There are better spots just around the corner to grab a bite.
Facilities
5.0
The roof bar is a cool spot with a fantastic view, though it was packed and loud during my stay. I also noticed that the pool was closed, which was a bummer. It has potential, but some amenities were lacking.
